Eduardo Valverde is an architect graduated from the University of Costa Rica. He also holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Design and Construction from the Costa Rica Institute of Technology. Eduardo also has a specialty in Bamboo construction from Bamboo U in Bali, Indonesia and he is currently attending the Chief Sustainability Officer Program in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. For over 10 years, he has worked as a researcher and educator in sustainable construction and bioconstruction, conducting various talks and workshops. During this period. Eduardo has also been a consultant in sustainable tourism, wastewater treatment, and landscaping, among other activities.
Currently, he is the project manager and principal designer at Batsú Arquitectura. Eduardo is also a naturalist and photographer with over 25 years of experience. He lives with his wife and two daughters in the Osa Peninsula, South Costa Rica, a region that houses about 2.5% of the planet’s biodiversity.
