In 2017, we were tasked with restoring this 80-year-old bahareque and wood house. Originally built to house Don Alexander and his wife Pamela, it was constructed using rudimentary and natural materials. The pilings were made from carved stones, the primary wooden structure from local wood, the walls from clay, and the roof from clay tiles. Our work involved repairing wall cracks, extending the eaves to prevent rain from wetting the walls, and repairing the roof structure. This house is now a museum open to the public.
